Law & Order Record Retrieval
This was a complete overhaul of this litigation-support company's identity.
LORR started life as a small record-retrieval company run out of its founder's home, but it grew to open offices in multiple cities and spread into other areas of litigation support. The goal was to not only attract new customers but to inform existing clients about the company's range of services.
We did that with a puzzle theme that was used on their website and in print materials. Now when clients receive records that LORR has obtained, on the cover of each set of records is a crisp, clean, professional design that lists the services LORR performs.
Wordsmith created the design, wrote all content, and created the graphics. We also compiled a list of litigation resources that keeps customers coming back to the site. The combination of the new online identity and the print materials has resulted in increased business for LORR.
Doolittle Hay
The owner of a farm near San Antonio that grows hay for horses wanted a website for a growing business, so we had to learn about hay before we created the website. There is far more to hay than we ever knew.
We interviewed Doolittle's owner and researched horse hay and horse care, which gave us the direction for the design and the site's content. We went with a very organic design with fewer hard edges and lines.
We also did a phone interview with an equine nutrition expert in Kentucky for a feature article, so the site offers a great deal of educational information for new horse owners.

This website is built around a searchable database of independent contractors serving the legal industry.
Wordsmith created website design, graphics, logo, print ads, online ads, promotional brochure, and business cards. We hired a database contractor to build the site's database functions.
Central Bark Dog Park, Grand Prairie, Texas
We designed this logo for a dog park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Wordsmith prepared a vector image of a logo featuring frolicing puppy dogs. Our client, the Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation Department, then used the logo to make a metal and stone sign that is posted in front of the park.
Puppies love Wordsmith Studios.
Mean Green World
This is a home for screensavers, computer wallpapers, cellphone wallpapers, avatars, and userbars for use by students, alumni, and fans of University of North Texas. Wordsmith Studios created all the graphics and built the website to host and distribute them.
Mean Green World is one of the largest collections of graphics for any University, with over 250 graphics available.
Mean Green World is not a commercial website. None of the materials on the site are for sale, nor are they to be sold by those who download them. They are free for use of Mean Green fans, and the sole purpose of this website and of these graphics is the promotion and support of the University of North Texas. The spirit marks are trademarks of the University of North Texas. Most of the action photographs are by Rick Yeatts Photography.
Spurger Reporting Services
Although this is a recently-formed company, their personnel possess years of experience and insightful information about their industry. So in addition to the promotional content, Wordsmith created educational content to provide Spurger's customers with helpful tips and a reason to return to the site.
There are pages about setting up for a deposition, on positioning witnesses and videographers, on court-reporting technology, and on the process of producing a transcript. There are also features on Spurger Reporting's personnel and on the formation of the company, and photographs from special events hosted by the client.
Wordsmith created the design and graphics, took the photos, and wrote the content. The design is employs a bright, colorful, but professional theme, reflecting the client's energetic personality. The layout of inside pages is a slight variation on the homepage that maintains overall design continuity.
